When a small business needs a bigger voice ...

Small businesses, particularly start-ups, frequently need to make a big noise when they can least afford it. And, all too often service solutions will try and sell you more than you need, for more than you can afford. I don't.

Not sure what you need?

You're not alone . Many businesses know they have an opportunity or a problem but aren't confident about how to address the situation. I am always happy to talk.

Know what you need.

It's a great start point. I'll provide guidance with creative input resulting in a detailed proposal and cost structure.

Need it fast!

All too often time is against us all. I recognise this is a consequence of simply being in business and will often turn a project around at very short notice - always ask.

Empowering, supportive, dynamic input

I have produced hundreds of presentations, written sales scripts, designed websites, crafted newsletters, and developed a plethora of marketing material.

Sharing my expertise is a pleasure and a challenge that drives my day and keeps me focussed. Always happy to arrange a video call with no obligation to chat through your requirements.

Experience

Print Media

My management grounding was in the regional press in the UKs' largest operation. I learned many skills culminating in the detailed preparation of a public offer to place the business on the London stock exchange. This certainly helped to sharpen my commercial writing ability.

Customer Care

Often regarded as the 'Cinderella' sector, Customer Care is a particularly tough show to pull together because in a difficult economy it can be sacrificed on the alter of 'cost savings' believing that it's not really that important (as sales or delivery).

B2B

I've worked in numerous B2B operations at a senior level and many from start-up. Like any new business, it takes a lot of hard work to convey your offer and penetrate a market from scratch. Message communication is critically important.

Start-Ups

There is nothing more challenging or exciting than launching a start-up business. Daily challenges test your management stamina and skills breadth to breakdown barriers, forge commercial relationships and build income.

Broadcast Media

Developed Britain's largest regional television channel, broadcast over a high speed fibre network. Later I provided long-term consultancy to a major independent radio group applying for new broadcast licences.

Ethos

Master of my trades but jack of none

Understand the client's specific needs and associated financial constraints. Do the work necessary to meet their objectives. Be creative, on time, and on budget.

Relationship

I make it easy for us to work together.
Forming a good relationship at an early stage is important to a satisfactory outcome; I am plain speaking, direct and with an empathetic ear, asking the questions that encourage rapid progress and the best use of your time.

Execution

Before I start a new project, I distil the client's goals into a focussed, tightly controlled brief. This sets out the details of what is needed,
what I will do, when I will do it by. And of course how much it will cost. Finally the call is yours - there's no obligation to proceed, but I'm ready if you are!
